Trellis Data’s sovereign LLM, Agentaus, will be powering Dukes, a new Australian AI model from Supply Nation-certified Indigenous ICT provider Gulanga Group. Dukes is in testing and integration with Workato, the enterprise AI orchestration platform used by more than half the Fortune 500.
Workato announced the partnership at World of Workato Sydney on 14 October. Its agreement with Gulanga gives Australian government and enterprise customers a joint sovereign AI offering.
Why it matters
Sovereign AI inside everyday workflows. Customers can use Dukes within Workato’s governed, secure automation platform rather than as a standalone tool.
Built for Australia. Dukes is trained and fine-tuned on Australian data, so it knows Australian law and policy better than offshore models do.
Faster and more economical. Workato’s early testing found Dukes faster, more relevant and more cost-effective than frontier models for domain-specific government tasks such as drafting policy.
Choice without lock-in. Workato is model-neutral, so organisations can run sovereign and frontier models side by side and choose the right one for each task.
Social impact built in. Every token Dukes processes helps fund Indigenous social outcomes. The model carries the name of Gulanga’s late founder, Craig Dukes.
